Bandits: My Dad Is Sick And Cannot Walk; When They Got To The Gate,One Of Them Said“Shoot Him”-Elisha

Grace Alheri Elisha has shared a disturbing account of how armed bandits abducted her father, revealing the frightening moments that unfolded when the attackers arrived at their home.

Speaking during an interview on the Lucky Udu Experience Podcast, Elisha narrated the ordeal, describing the tense situation as the kidnappers approached the family compound and forced their way in.

While recounting the incident, she said the attackers appeared to be very young and showed little regard for her father’s fragile health condition. According to her, the group consisted of teenagers who were determined to carry out the abduction despite the obvious vulnerability of their victim.

“They were small boys from 17,18 years old. My dad is sick and can not walk so when they got to the gate, one of them was saying that he was going to delay them, that one of them should shoot him,” she said.

Elisha explained that the moment left the family terrified, particularly because her father was unable to move without assistance due to his illness. She said the bandits were armed and aggressive, creating panic within the household as they attempted to execute their plan.

Her account highlights the growing concern over the involvement of teenagers in banditry across parts of northern Nigeria, where kidnapping for ransom has continued to threaten communities and families.

The emotional recollection also sheds light on the trauma victims’ families endure during such attacks, especially when vulnerable individuals such as the elderly or sick are targeted.
