Unless You Reorganize, There’s No Way An Imperialist Like US Will Guarantee Law & Order In Your Country- Falana

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has urged the Nigerian government to strengthen its security institutions, warning that no foreign power will guarantee law and order for another sovereign nation.

Falana made the remarks while speaking on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, during a discussion on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

Reacting to the geopolitical tensions involving Iran and the United States, Falana said Nigeria must learn critical lessons about national security and self-reliance.

According to him, countries must invest in and reorganize their internal security structures rather than depending on foreign powers for protection.

“Nigeria must wake up. We must learn from Iran that unless you reorganise your own country, unless you equip your armed forces, unless you equip your police force, there is no way an imperialist country like America will guarantee law and order in your country,” Falana said.

The senior lawyer emphasized that effective governance requires well-equipped security agencies capable of defending the country and maintaining internal stability.

Falana also stressed the importance of strengthening both the military and the police to ensure Nigeria can adequately address its security challenges.

His comments come amid increasing global attention on security dynamics in the Middle East and renewed debates about the role of international powers in regional conflicts.
