The proceedings, which are usually conducted in Kainji, Niger State, were relocated to the Abuja Division of the court for the latest sitting.
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, is leading the prosecution team, while the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council, Aliyu Abubakar, is heading the defence counsel.
The multi-courtroom trial is scheduled to run for four days.
Several judges are presiding over different cases, including Justices Binta Nyako, Emeka Nwite, Musa Liman, James Omotosho, Obiora Egwuatu, and Ekerete Akpan, among others.
No fewer than 58 suspects are expected to be arraigned before Justice Emeka Nwite alone on Monday.
