AKWA IBOM GOV THANKS APC SUPPORTERS AFTER SECURING GOVERNORSHIP TICKET

Governor Umo Eno has appreciated members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress after emerging as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Akwa Ibom State.

The Akwa Ibom governor spoke shortly after taking part in the APC governorship primary election held at Mbiakpan Obot Ward Two in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.

Eno described his emergence as a renewed opportunity to continue serving the people of Akwa Ibom State with greater dedication and commitment.

He disclosed that his administration would soon inaugurate a committee to review the performance of his first term and prepare a second-term development framework known as ARISE 2.0 ahead of the 2027 polls.

According to the governor, the proposed blueprint would strengthen the gains already achieved under the ARISE Agenda while setting fresh priorities for the next phase of governance if re-elected.

Eno also renewed his call for peaceful political activities across Akwa Ibom State, urging political parties and their candidates to concentrate on issues, policies, and programmes that would benefit the people rather than engaging in personal attacks or divisive statements.

He stressed that the electoral process must be conducted in an atmosphere of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, adding that the collective interest of Akwa Ibom State should remain above political differences.

The governor further expressed readiness to participate in political debates ahead of the 2027 elections, noting that such engagements would allow candidates to present their ideas, programmes, and vision directly to voters.
