ABIA POLICE ARREST 15 SUSPECTS, IMPOUND VEHICLES OVER NUMBER PLATE VIOLATIONS

In a statement issued on Saturday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, said the operation was part of efforts to strengthen security across the state.

She explained that the exercise was being carried out “In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police and the Command’s commitment to enhancing security.”

According to her, the command has sustained a statewide enforcement operation targeting unregistered vehicles as well as vehicles displaying obscured, altered, defaced, or unlawfully covered registration number plates.
