TINUBU APPOINTS NAMDAS BCDA DG, NAMES OBAHIAGBON, REAPPOINTS UMEOJI FOR NDPHC

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Namdas succeeds Dr Dakorinama Alabo George, who stepped down from the position to contest an elective office in his home state.

Before his appointment, Namdas represented the Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa State in the House of Representatives. He also served as spokesperson of the 8th House of Representatives and contested in the recently concluded Adamawa State governorship primary election.

A seasoned journalist and public relations practitioner, Namdas previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Adamawa State Governor, Boni Haruna.

In a related development, President Tinubu appointed Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon as the Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial, of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).

The President also reappointed Mr Chukwuma Umeoji as the Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the NDPHC.

Obahiagbon takes over from Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned from the position to pursue his political ambition in his home state.

Before his appointment, Obahiagbon served as a member of both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly.

Umeoji, who represented Aguata Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the 9th National Assembly, was reappointed to his previous role after resigning to pursue his political ambition in his home state.

The Presidency said all the appointments take effect immediately.
