NPF CYBERCRIME CENTRE HOSTS ARMY OFFICERS TO DEEPEN CYBERSECURITY COLLABORATION

According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Liaison Officer of the NPF-NCCC, DSP Unwana Imah, the study tour, which took place on June 25, 2026, was organised under the initiative of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, to promote stronger inter-agency cooperation and foster harmonious working relationships among sister security agencies.

Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, the Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre, CP Akaninyene Ezima, mnips, stressed the need for closer collaboration among security and law enforcement agencies to effectively tackle the growing threat of cybercrime and safeguard the nation’s cyberspace.

He reiterated that the Nigeria Police Force, through the NPF-NCCC as the lead agency in the fight against cybercrime, remains committed to strengthening existing partnerships and enhancing inter-agency collaboration towards protecting Nigeria’s critical digital infrastructure and cyberspace.

Speaking on behalf of the Commandant of the Nigeria Army Cyber Warfare School, the Deputy Commandant, Lt. Col. A.O. Adeoye, stated that the study tour formed part of the academic requirements for the participants and was designed to expose them to practical experiences and provide deeper insights into cybersecurity operations and the protection of critical national infrastructure.

The visit also created an opportunity for both institutions to exchange knowledge, deepen professional engagement and reinforce their existing partnership in the collective effort to combat cyber threats and strengthen national security.
