In a statement, Iniedu said the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to carrying out its constitutional responsibilities and urged Nigerians to avoid circulating unverified information capable of fueling misinformation and subversive narratives.
“I would prefer to maintain operational silence rather than disseminate false information. Our nation is currently saturated with keyboard warriors who lack any comprehension of the sacrifices, tactical deployments, and strategic operations undertaken by the gallant officers of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG.
“You have a critical role to play in national security. Do not allow your platform to be weaponized for the propagation of subversive ideology or dissident narratives.”
The police spokesperson emphasized that every citizen has a responsibility to support national security efforts by promoting accurate information and exercising caution in the use of social media, particularly on issues relating to security operations.
