Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has put a number on his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, pledging three million votes from the state in 2027.
Fubara made the commitment on Saturday at the APC presidential campaign rally in Port Harcourt.
He said Rivers would stand with the President, work for him and deliver for him, describing the state’s backing as settled and irreversible.
The governor declared an end to the divisions that have marked Rivers politics, saying its leaders now speak with a single voice — and that voice belongs to Tinubu.

He credited the President with showing genuine affection for Rivers, and said the state would repay that with ballots rather than words, adding that Rivers people are known for keeping their promises.
Fubara then turned to the ground game, telling supporters the three million votes would not come from staying at home, and urging them back to their wards and units to begin the work.
