Nigerian influencer Saida Boj has taken a swipe at social media activist Verydarkman over his constant criticism of Afrobeats singer Davido, suggesting that the entertainer has no reason to engage him in a direct exchange.
In a video making the rounds online, Saida Boj questioned Verydarkman’s attempt to place his Ratel movement on the same level as Davido’s 30BG fan base. She maintained that the two are not comparable in terms of popularity and influence.
She equally faulted the activist for repeatedly dragging Davido into online controversies, especially considering that the singer had previously maintained a cordial relationship with him.
Saida Boj explained that Davido’s decision to stay away from the back-and-forth does not mean he cannot defend himself. She pointed out that the singer’s associates have often stepped in to respond whenever Verydarkman makes comments about him.
She also alleged that the activist was hoping to provoke Davido into reacting publicly, as receiving a direct response from the singer would boost his profile.
“Verydarkman wants Davido to answer him, that’s the thing. If Davido answers him now, he has given him a level,” she said.
Saida Boj therefore urged Davido not to give the activist the reaction he seemingly desired, advising him to maintain his silence.
