Nigerian social commentator Isaac Fayose has stirred reactions online after making a claim about the states President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could win in an election without alleged electoral malpractice.
Fayose claimed that Ekiti, Osun and Ogun states were the only states where Tinubu could secure victory without rigging, alleging that the president and his political camp would have to manipulate the electoral process to win in other states.
In a statement making the rounds on social media, Fayose said:
“The only states President Tinubu can win without rigging are Ekiti, Osun and Ogun. Every other state they can only win by rigging.”
His comments have generated discussions about the political atmosphere ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the allegation likely to attract reactions from supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition parties.
