The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Kaduna State Command, has taken part in a public sensitisation road show aimed at raising awareness on the dangers of drug abuse and domestic violence.
The exercise was organized by the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Kaduna State Directorate, on Wednesday.
Leading the NDLEA delegation was the Assistant State Commander, Counseling, Treatment and Rehabilitation, ACN Shuaibu Mohammed, alongside officers and men of the Command.
According to a statement by the Command’s Media and Advocacy Officer, S. Garba, ASN, the awareness campaign commenced from Leventis, proceeded to Katsina Road Roundabout and returned to the point of assembly.
During the road show, participants engaged members of the public on the dangers and consequences of drug abuse and domestic violence.
The exercise also emphasized the importance of responsible behaviour, peaceful coexistence, healthy families and collective action towards building safer communities.
“The Command remains committed to sustained public sensitisation and preventive interventions in the fight against illicit drug use and its associated social consequences,” the statement added.
The collaboration between NDLEA and NOA is part of ongoing efforts by government agencies in Kaduna State to curb substance abuse and promote social harmony.
