“I’m was exhausted” — Lady feels guilty after telling neighbour to stop late night requests

Tension has reportedly gripped a residential compound after lady confronted her neighbour over repeated late-night requests for household items.

Repeated requests lead to confrontation

The incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. earlier this week, followed a series of visits in which the neighbour allegedly asked for items ranging from salt to a phone charger.

According to the resident, the latest request, for two eggs and half an onion, came after multiple similar interruptions within the same week. Exhausted and seeking rest, she decided to address the situation directly.

My neighbour knocked on my door at 10 PM. She wanted two eggs and half an onion. This was the fourth time this week. I usually don’t complain, I just smile and give it. But last night, I was exhausted, so I told her calmly to stop coming that late because it was becoming too much.”

Emotional reaction raises awkwardness

The confrontation reportedly took an emotional turn when the neighbour reacted with tears, interpreting the request as rejection rather than a boundary.

The situation has since created an uneasy atmosphere within the compound.

Her face dropped immediately, and she started crying. She said, ‘It’s just an onion… I didn’t know you hated me this much,’ then dropped the eggs and walked away. Now things are tense, and she avoids me.”

Similar neighbour disputes have surfaced in the past, often highlighting the challenges of setting boundaries in shared living spaces without causing offence.
