This was revealed in a statement issued on June 24, 2026, by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, who was represented by the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Morkwap Sebastine Dongshal. Also present were the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, and representatives of the Taraba State Government.
Speaking on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, CP Dongshal expressed appreciation to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for their continued investment in strengthening the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force.
He noted that the projects align with the IGP’s people-centred policing agenda, particularly efforts geared towards improving officers’ welfare, providing modern infrastructure and creating a more conducive working environment for personnel.
Also speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Sheidu, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting the police through the provision of critical infrastructure and resources needed for effective law enforcement.
According to him, the newly commissioned facilities reflect the Federal Government’s determination to bolster internal security and improve the capacity of the police to carry out their constitutional responsibilities.
Sheidu further assured that the Trust Fund would continue to collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force on initiatives aimed at enhancing police welfare, boosting operational efficiency and improving service delivery nationwide.
Representing Taraba State Governor, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd), at the ceremony, CP Cyril Agbe (Rtd) commended the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the intervention.
He described the projects as significant investments that would contribute to the security architecture and overall development of Taraba State.
The statement added that the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to strengthening strategic partnerships that will enhance operational effectiveness, improve personnel welfare and ensure the delivery of quality policing services across the country.
