IDF Claims There’s Thousands More Targets in Iran, Israel Vows at Least 3 More Weeks of Bold Strikes

According to a report by The Times of Israel on Sunday, March 15, 2026, Israel’s military has signaled that its current operations in Iran could last for at least another three weeks, with thousands of additional targets identified nationwide.

Brigadier General Effie Defrin, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said that a comprehensive list of potential targets has already been compiled, and the military is ready to continue striking as part of the ongoing campaign.

He added that Israeli forces are coordinating closely with United States allies to execute these operations. Military strategists have also drawn up contingency measures that could prolong the campaign by an additional three weeks if the situation demands.

Defrin emphasized that the IDF is not bound by a fixed timetable. Instead, the military’s priority remains achieving its strategic objectives, with flexibility to adapt plans based on real-time developments and fresh intelligence.

Official assessments suggest that many targets remain, including critical sites in Tehran and other regions across Iran. Israeli authorities argue that sustained operations are essential to counter perceived threats and to weaken Iran’s military infrastructure.

Reports further indicate that the IDF has been preparing for an extended campaign over the coming weeks. Commanders believe several high-priority targets have yet to be neutralized, making ongoing action necessary.
