Following the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun the process of assisting applicants who wish to change universities or courses.
The Board also declared that the printing of original UTME result slips would begin on May 18, 2026.
JAMB announced in a statement signed by its Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, and uploaded to its official X handle.
According to the Board, candidates who want to change their institution or program of choice should do so at any of its certified Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers around the country.
It recommended that candidates complete the process exclusively at designated locations to avoid errors or fraudulent activity.
The Board stated that the exercise is currently open and available to candidates who may desire to reconsider their previous choices depending on their UTME performance or admission preferences.
It also announced that the production of actual 2026 UTME result slips will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The result slip, which includes candidates’ passport photos and security information, is necessary for entrance screening and clearance into tertiary institutions.
“Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so by visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT centres,” the announcement stated.
“Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026,” it stated.
