- Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has reportedly blocked content creator Kokopee on Instagram amid their growing tension.
- The development comes after Kokopee hinted at addressing an issue involving the singer, with recent exchanges between both sides generating attention online.
Rapper Zlatan Ibile has reportedly blocked content creator Kokopee on Instagram amid the ongoing drama involving music star Davido and social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The development comes after Kokopee, a close associate of VDM, became embroiled in the disagreement between the activist and Davido, following his attempt to reconcile the former friends.
Kokopee had earlier explained that he acted as a go-between after VDM complained about his fallout with Davido. He claimed the singer also contacted him privately, but their conversation did not resolve the disagreement.
Davido subsequently appeared to dismiss Kokopee’s account by responding with a cap emoji on social media. Kokopee later defended himself, insisting that he was neither hungry nor seeking personal benefits from his involvement.
The situation took another turn after VDM directed criticism at Zlatan over a song lyric Davido was seen singing at the rapper’s wedding celebration in Morocco.
VDM interpreted the lyrics as a reference to him and subsequently issued a warning to Zlatan. However, there has been no confirmation that the song was deliberately written to target the activist.
Kokopee has also reportedly exchanged words with Zlatan over his music, with the emerging artiste challenging the rapper to a music-for-music contest after his style was criticised.
The reported Instagram block has since generated reactions, with several Nigerians mocking Kokopee and questioning his music career.
