  • This revelation was made during his appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast.

Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has claimed that some musicians turn to voodoo in their quest to produce hit songs in the Nigerian music industry.

The rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, made the revelation during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he discussed the challenges artistes face in making commercially successful music.

Speaking about how difficult it is to record a hit song, Odumodublvck explained that not every musician gets to enjoy such success, even after spending years in the industry.

He suggested that the struggle to achieve a hit record sometimes pushes artistes to desperate measures, including resorting to spiritual practices.

According to him, some musicians become frustrated when their songs fail to gain the attention they desire.

Odumodublvck also acknowledged the consistency of Nigerian music superstars Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido, praising their ability to deliver hit songs over several years.

“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.

“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years.

“You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he stated.
