According to a recent video by News Central on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, a man identified as Emmanuel has alleged that bandits operating around the Gusau and Gidan kano area in Zamfara State run a highly organized base with multiple checkpoints that resemble military formations.
Emmanuel claimed that the criminals established three separate gates leading into their hideout inside a forest. According to him, anyone approaching the location is thoroughly searched at each checkpoint before being allowed to proceed further.
He explained that visitors are first searched at the initial gate, after which they pass through a second security check before reaching the final gate. Emmanuel said the appearance of the armed men at the third gate can easily mislead people into believing they are members of the Nigerian Army.
“When you see these people, you will think they are soldiers because they are fully dressed like the army,” he said.
Emmanuel also questioned why the group has continued to operate despite the presence of military checkpoints before and after the area. He argued that the proximity of security personnel should make it easier for authorities to trace and dismantle the bandits’ camp.
