World Cup 2026: 4 countries eliminated from Round of 16

Four countries, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Paraguay, have been eliminated from the World Cup Round of 16 stage.

Brazil and Mexico are the two latest teams to be eliminated after losing their Round of 16 fixtures.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side lost 2-1 against Norway on Sunday night after Erling Haaland’s brace.

Mexico, on the other hand, was defeated 3-2 against England following goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.

Brazil and Mexico will now join Paraguay and Canada in exiting the tournament.

Canada lost 3-0 against Morocco at Houston Stadium to exit the tournament, while Paraguay lost 1-0 against France.

The World Cup quarter-final fixtures will begin on Thursday.
