Why I pay my tithe to street, not church – Zubby Michael

Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has revealed that he recently donated ₦10.2 million to people on the streets, describing it as his form of tithe.

Speaking in an interview, the actor explained that the amount represents 10 percent of ₦102 million he earned from movie roles in a short period.

He noted that instead of paying tithe to a church, he prefers to give directly to those in need.

Zubby Michael also stated that he does not believe in paying tithe through religious institutions, emphasizing that his approach is based on personal conviction.

He further added that his recent earnings from acting roles reflect his current success in the industry, noting that the figure was made within a relatively short time rather than across his entire career.

“Not to brag but I am the richest actor. The last time I checked my book, I realised that I have made N102 million from artist’s fee lately. Not in my whole career but just of recent.

“I donated N10.2 million, which is 10 per cent of the money to the needy on the street.

“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to the church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he said.
