A Nigerian man has stirred fresh reactions online after calling out the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Moniepoint, Tosin Eniolorunda, over the company’s salary structure and global positioning.
Man Raises Concerns Online
The user, identified as @heyrapto on X (formerly Twitter), questioned what he described as a disconnect between the company’s headquarters and how its workforce is compensated.
According to him, Moniepoint operates from a headquarters in the United Kingdom while maintaining its main operational base in Lagos, Nigeria.
“Paid in Naira, Based in the UK”
The user argued that despite the company’s international presence, many of its workers are based in Nigeria and paid in naira.
He suggested that this structure raises concerns about fairness in compensation, especially for a company positioning itself on a global level.
Concerns Over Pay Structure
He further highlighted what he sees as a contrast between where the company is headquartered and the realities of its workforce.
He wrote: “Moniepoint headquarters is in the UK.
241 Southwark Bridge Road, London.
But their operational base is in Lagos.
So let’s call it what it is.
They are hiring in Nigeria, paying in naira, while the headquarters sits in the UK.
The CEO wakes up in London, goes to the office, grabs his morning coffee, pays rent in pounds…
While the workforce powering the system is earning in naira.
And the Customers are Nigerians
Nice one.
Sometimes, just step back and understand the perspective of what is actually being said.”
