In a recent interview shared by News Central TV, North Central Spokesperson of the Obidient Movement, Emmanuel Idakwo, has alleged a deliberate plot to weaken the growing opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the programme, Idakwo expressed concern over recent political developments within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), particularly the actions of certain actors he believes are working against the unity of opposition forces. According to him, internal disruptions and counter-movements are not coincidental but strategically driven.
He specifically pointed to Nafiu Bala, stating, “The agenda of Nafiu Bala is to ensure that the coalition is destroyed and that ADC endorses Tinubu.” The statement underscores rising tensions within the opposition space as parties attempt to form alliances capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Idakwo warned that such alleged actions could undermine efforts to build a united front, which many political observers consider crucial for a competitive electoral process.
