National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South-West Zone D, has announced plans to host the Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli; businessman and philanthropist, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi; and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagements, Asefon Sunday Dayo, at its Students Leadership Training and Advancement Summit (SLTAS ’26) in Ibadan.
The summit, convened by the Office of the Deputy Coordinator, NANS South-West Zone D, Ridwan A.O.A. (Pal. Solution), aims to strengthen leadership capacity and promote purposeful leadership among Nigerian students.
The organisers said about 350 selected student leaders from higher institutions, student bodies and other leadership structures across the South-West are expected to participate in the summit.

According to them, the participants were selected based on their leadership potential, commitment and capacity to contribute to the development of the student community.
The Deputy Coordinator said Senator Alli would deliver the keynote address, while Sanusi would serve as chairman of the occasion and Asefon would be the guest speaker.
Other personalities are also expected to participate in discussions at the summit.
Ridwan said the event would provide an opportunity for intellectual engagement, leadership development, strategic networking and exchange of ideas among student leaders.
“Beyond being a conventional leadership programme, SLTAS ’26 is positioned as a platform for intellectual engagement, leadership development, strategic networking and the exchange of ideas capable of shaping a more united, purposeful, visionary and productive student leadership system.
“The summit is set to become a defining moment in student leadership development and a major investment in the future of the Nigerian student movement.
“SLTAS ’26 is not just another gathering, it is a deliberate investment in leaders who will shape institutions, influence communities and define the future,” Ridwan said.
