There was panic in Abuja after a 25-year-old woman, identified as Promise Eze, was dramatically rescued from a hotel room where she was found tied up and unconscious in what authorities suspect to be a ritual-related plot.
The shocking incident reportedly happened in the Wuse area, after hotel staff noticed strange movements from a male guest who had checked in with the victim. What they discovered next left everyone stunned.
According to sources, the suspect had met the lady online using a fake identity, “Michael Prince,” claiming to be an oil company worker. After gaining her trust, he convinced her to travel all the way to Abuja for a supposed meeting.
But what seemed like a normal visit quickly turned into a nightmare.
The suspect, later identified as Emmanuel Okoro from Lagos, allegedly turned violent immediately after they entered the hotel room. He reportedly threatened her with a dagger, tied her hands and legs, and sealed her mouth before abandoning her helpless inside the bathroom.
Things took a suspicious turn when the man quietly left the hotel alone and never returned. Sensing danger, staff checked the room—only to find the young woman unconscious and completely restrained.
Security operatives were quickly alerted, leading to a swift police response that saved her life.
Even more chilling, the victim reportedly told investigators she overheard the suspect making calls, saying he would “come back to complete the job,” raising fears of a planned ritual attack.
Police now believe this could be part of a larger criminal network targeting unsuspecting victims through online platforms.
As of now, the suspect is on the run, and authorities have launched a full-scale manhunt to track him and any accomplices.
Residents have been warned to stay alert, especially when meeting strangers online, as investigations continue into the disturbing case........…
