Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain Buba Galadima has remarked that only God and President Bola Tinubu can predict the outcome of the 2027 presidential election.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Galadima expressed skepticism regarding the transparency of the upcoming electoral process. He alleged that opposition figures and supporters have faced a wave of coordinated intimidation and security incidents ahead of the polls.
Despite these concerns, Galadima voiced strong confidence in the opposition’s joint ticket featuring Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He asserted that the pair would secure victory if the contest is conducted in a free, fair, and credible environment, barring any manipulation of state machinery.
Addressing internal dynamics, Galadima dismissed notions of friction between the candidates, noting that Obi and Kwankwaso remain closely aligned as they harmonize their political blueprints. He described their collaboration as a unified “healing ticket” designed to bridge regional divides and restore public confidence.
Highlighting their core agenda, the NDC chieftain stated that a prospective administration under the duo would prioritize national unity, economic reform, and comprehensive security to ensure citizens can live without fear.
Galadima also weighed in broader electoral strategies, arguing that opposition parties do not necessarily need to present a single consensus candidate to challenge the ruling party, provided they operate effectively within the legal framework.
