The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a mandatory documentation and verification exercise for all Supernumerary (SPY) Police personnel operating across the state.
According to a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Oluseyi Babasiyi, the screening exercise runs from September 23 to October 7, 2026.
Organizations utilizing SPY personnel have been instructed to ensure their officers report to the Police Public Relations Department at the State Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Required credentials for the clearance include training certificates, warrant cards or certificates of “To Whom It May Concern,” recent passport photographs in approved uniforms, and other supporting identification documents.
The police command stated that the initiative is designed to improve regulatory oversight, update personnel records, and ensure proper supervision of all SPY operatives within the state.
