The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that the results of the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal will be released on Thursday, September 24.
The examination body disclosed this in a circular sighted on Tuesday, stating that the results would be officially announced at 11am at its headquarters on Kilometre 8, Bida Road, Minna, Niger State.
The announcement comes after the 2026 SSCE Internal Award Committee meeting held at the council’s headquarters on Tuesday.
NECO completes preparations for result release
The meeting was presided over by the NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, as the council finalised preparations for the release of the examination results.
A post on NECO’s official X account also confirmed that the committee meeting marked the final stage of preparations ahead of the announcement.
The 2026 SSCE Internal examination was conducted for final year secondary school students between June 15 and July 23, 2026.
Students await 2026 NECO results
The release of the 2026 NECO results will provide candidates who sat for the examination with access to their performance records.
The SSCE Internal is conducted annually by NECO for students in their final year of secondary education.
The council is expected to formally announce the results during the scheduled event at its Minna headquarters on Thursday.
Candidates, parents and schools will then be able to access the released results through the channels provided by NECO.
