Prominent businessman and Chairman of AA Rano Group, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, has been conferred with an honorary Doctor of Management Science, Honoris Causa, by the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna.
Rano disclosed this in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
He described the conferment as a deeply humbling and honouring moment.
“Today, I am deeply honoured and humbled to be invested as Doctor of Management Science, Honoris Causa, by the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna,” he wrote.
The oil and gas magnate said he receives the honour not just as a personal achievement but as a call to greater service.
“I receive this distinguished honour with profound gratitude, seeing it not merely as a personal achievement, but as a call to greater service, leadership and responsibility,” he said.
Rano dedicated the honour to his family, colleagues, partners and all those who have been part of his journey, adding that it comes with renewed commitment to serve Nigeria.
“A great honour. A greater responsibility,” he stated.
