Apostle Arome Osayi has recounted an alleged supernatural encounter he claims he had with Jesus while at a beach in Tanzania.
Speaking during a church ministration, Osayi claimed that Jesus appeared to him and stood beside him, prompting him to ask for the power to raise the dead and reverse autism.
According to the cleric, Jesus instructed him to send ₦5 million to a pastor in exchange for the powers.
“I met Jesus at a Tanzania beach, and Jesus came and stood by my side, and I told him to give me the power to raise the dead and the power to reverse autism, and Jesus told me to send ₦5 million to a pastor in exchange for the powers,” he said.
Osayi further claimed that during his next ministration, which took place on a Sunday night, an angel touched him on the head.
He alleged that five people subsequently began walking following the encounter.
“On my next ministration, which was on a Sunday night, an angel touched me on my head; after that, five people started walking,” he added.
The account comes amid renewed attention on the cleric following his recent comments about Nigeria’s national calling.
Osayi had argued that Nigeria’s calling is spiritual revival, while contrasting the country’s focus on prayer with China’s achievements in manufacturing and technology. His remarks have since attracted criticism and sparked debate online.
