Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Tuesday, presented Compressed Natural Gas, CNG-powered buses to five key institutions in the state to strengthen their operations and mobility.
The beneficiaries are the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Nigerian Correctional Service, NCS, and Kaduna State University, KASU.
The presentation was made to the Kaduna State chapters and branches of the institutions.
Speaking at the event, Governor Sani described the institutions as occupying “indispensable positions in our society,” noting that through healthcare, justice, journalism, education and corrections, they help sustain the foundations of a functional, secure and progressive society.
He commended their leadership and members for their professionalism, dedication and steadfast commitment to public service.
According to the Governor, the provision of the operational vehicles is intended to strengthen mobility, improve institutional efficiency and enable the organisations to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.
“It is also a practical expression of our administration’s belief that meaningful governance is strengthened by constructive partnerships with the institutions that serve our people,” he said.
The leadership of the beneficiary organisations expressed appreciation to the state government for the support and for the enabling environment it continues to foster.
Governor Sani said their commendation reinforces the conviction that government works best when it listens, collaborates and builds enduring relationships with institutions across society.
He added that his administration will continue to deepen such partnerships and support institutions whose work advances the welfare, stability and development of Kaduna State.
“Our shared objective remains clear: to build a state in which institutions are strengthened, professionals are empowered, and every citizen has greater opportunity to thrive,” the Governor stated.
The deployment of CNG buses is part of the state government’s efforts to promote cleaner energy and reduce transportation costs for public institutions.
