A Niger State High Court sitting in Minna, presided over by Hon. Justice Binta Bawa, has convicted Hussaini Suleiman (27, male) for raping an 8-year-old girl, at his residence behind the Prison Quarters, Minna, Niger State.
The convict pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
The case was referred to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Niger State Command by the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on 16th April 2026 following the report of the rape of the minor.
The convict admitted to committing the offence and was arraigned before Court 8 of the Niger State High Court, Minna, on 10th September 2026.
