Yoruba Nollywood actress Oluwakemi Ogunbiyi, has opened up about a disturbing encounter with a producer who used a fake job promise to lure her to a hotel. Speaking in an interview on FeelRightNews TV, Ogunbiyi explained that one of her bosses in the movie industry asked her to meet him at a hotel for a screenplay discussion.…WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
She went there hoping to get a role, but nobody showed up for hours. The actress waited from daytime until night fell, but the producer never arrived.
By 10pm, Ogunbiyi said her inner voice warned her that the whole situation was a trap.
She realized the man might simply want to sleep with her, knowing she was desperate for a job.
Around 11pm, she decided to leave. She told the hotel she had an emergency at home as an excuse to escape.
The next day, Ogunbiyi met the same producer and greeted him warmly. He did not respond to her greeting.
When she told her colleagues about what happened, they informed her that the man always uses this trick.
They said if she had not left the hotel that night, the producer would have taken advantage of her and forced himself on her.
Her words; “One of my bosses in the industry, a producer, asked me to meet him at a hotel for a screenplay. When I got there, I stayed till night and nobody came. By 10pm, my mind just told me that this was a trap and the man might just want to sleep with me because I was desperate for the job. When it was around 11pm, I left there with the excuse that I had an emergency at home. The next day, I met the man and greeted him, but he didn’t respond. When I told my colleagues, they told me that that is how he always does it. If I hadn’t left, he would have taken advantage of me and slept with me.”
