Graduating students of the Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology (NAISET), Ilorin, have been charged to translate the knowledge acquired during their training into improved performance in the field.
The charge was given by the Acting Corps Commander Education, Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, at the graduation ceremony of the Third Quarter Courses held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at NAISET, Ilorin, Kwara State.
In a statement signed by Lieutenant Oluwaseun Adewale Oriade, who is the the Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Nigerian Army College of Education, Brigadier General Ahmed, who was represented by the Commandant of NAISET, Colonel Abbas Ahmad Abubakar, congratulated the graduating students and noted that the courses were designed to develop competent, confident and professionally equipped personnel capable of meeting the evolving educational and institutional requirements of the Nigerian Army.
He said the Advanced Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC) Officers Development Course was particularly important in strengthening the professional capacity of officers entrusted with educational responsibilities.
Ahmed expressed confidence that graduates of the course would demonstrate sound leadership, initiative and a clear understanding of the critical role of education in building a highly professional fighting force.
He also stated that the Training Development Advisers Course had equipped participants with the competencies required to contribute effectively to the design, development and continuous improvement of training, which remains fundamental to operational readiness.
The Acting Corps Commander Education commended students of the Advanced Map Reading and Specialist Map Reading Courses for their commitment to improving critical military skills.
He stressed that accurate terrain interpretation and effective use of maps remained vital components of military planning, navigation and operations, urging the graduates to apply the knowledge gained in their respective formations and units.
Earlier, the Acting Commandant of NAISET, Colonel Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the Acting Corps Commander Education for his continued support towards the actualisation of the institute’s mandate.
He said the growth of the institution was built on moral discipline, intellectual development and the willingness of personnel to continuously acquire new knowledge and competencies in service to the nation.
Colonel Abubakar further noted that the courses reflected the broad and strategic responsibilities of the Nigerian Army Education Corps, adding that modern military effectiveness extends beyond combat proficiency to include intellectual preparedness, professional competence, technological awareness and the ability to adapt to an increasingly complex operational environment.
