…urges prayers for peace, support for the needy
The Member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his 82nd birthday.
Akande-Sadipe described the monarch as a respected elder statesman whose contributions to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria had continued to earn him admiration and respect.
In a congratulatory message marking the occasion, the lawmaker acknowledged Oba Ladoja’s years of public service and leadership, describing his continued presence and guidance as valuable to Ibadanland and the state.
She said the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency joined her and her family in celebrating the Olubadan, while praying for his continued good health, wisdom and strength.
“On behalf of my family and the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency, I warmly congratulate His Imperial Majesty, our father, on this special day.
“I thank God for his life and pray that He grants Kabiyesi continued good health, wisdom and strength to guide Ibadanland,” she said.
Akande-Sadipe also commended the Olubadan’s call for prayers and support for people going through difficult circumstances, saying the gesture reflected the importance of compassion and concern for the vulnerable in society.
According to her, celebrating the monarch should go beyond exchanging goodwill messages, urging individuals and groups to remember people who may be experiencing hardship and offer them support.
She said: “As we celebrate Kabiyesi, I encourage all who wish him well to remember those in need and to join him in praying for peace and progress in Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.”
The lawmaker further prayed for peace, unity and continued development across Ibadanland, Oyo State and the country, while expressing hope that the Olubadan would continue to provide wise counsel to the people.
She wished Oba Ladoja many more years of good health, wisdom and purposeful service, as she joined other Nigerians in celebrating the monarch on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.
