The All Progressives Congress (APC) has shifted its timetable for the ongoing sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for aspirants preparing for the 2027 general elections.
The adjustment was announced in a statement released on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who noted that the revision also impacts the screening schedule for prospective candidates.
Under the updated timeline, the sale of forms will now continue until midnight on May 6, 2026, while aspirants have until midnight on May 7, 2026, to submit their completed documents.
The party further disclosed that screening of aspirants is slated to take place between May 8 and May 12, 2026. Following the exercise, the names of successfully screened candidates are expected to be made public on May 13, 2026.
The APC also maintained its previously announced fees for nomination forms across all categories. The presidential nomination form remains pegged at N100 million, while governorship aspirants are required to pay N50 million.
For legislative positions, those seeking election into State Houses of Assembly will pay N6 million, House of Representatives aspirants are to pay N10 million, and Senate hopefuls will part with N20 million.
The party had initially planned for the sale of the forms to run from April 25 to May 2, 2026. However, the process began three days later than scheduled, leading to the decision to extend the deadlines.
