Former rivers state governor and former minister of transport , Rotimi Amaechi has rejected the results coming in from 24 states describing it as “concocted” process as election committee and others await more results and commencement of the exercise.
Ameachi who posted on his social media handle during the presidential primary election collation and declaration results in Abuja, said he had initially stated that he will only accept the outcome of the Primaries if the process was free, fair, and transparent and still maintains the position.
The former minister said the process does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold, in rescuing Nigerians from the impunity and gross mismanagement that our country is currently facing in the hands of the ruling party.
The party’s aspirant claimed that about 80% of members were not allegedly allowed to votes during the exercise and the leadership of the party should not expect him to accept such results.
The former Rivers state governor noted that the outcome of the results are a clear indication that the ADC is deviating from its core mandate to give Nigerians a platform to amplify their voices of the downtrodden and make it a better place for everyone irrespective of backgrounds, ethnicity or religion.
He said the party has been criticizing the ruling all progressives congress,APC and the independent national electoral commission,INEC for vote rigging, buying, forging results and other electoral practices that have led to disenfranchise voters and party members.
