—-Asserts that no one who witnesses the prevailing poverty, hunger, corruption and underdevelopment in Bayelsa State under Governor Douye Diri can remain indifferent.
—-Describes the Douye Diri-led APC administration as total failure.
—-Insists Governor Douye Diri and the Bayelsa State APC Chairman are not supporting the 2027 re-election ambition of President Tinubu
—-Says Governor Douye Diri involved in secret anti party activity against the interest of President Tinubu and the APC
—–Urges Bayelsans to vote out incompetent APC candidates in 2027.
The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) urges the State APC Chairman, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, to confront the serious matters raised by the PDP State Chairman and leader of the National Rainbow Coalition in the State, Hon. Chief Alabh George Turnah, Esq., MON, instead of resorting to personal attacks and political distractions.
No one who witnesses the widespread poverty, hunger, hardship, alleged corruption and underdevelopment in Bayelsa State under Governor Douye Diri can remain silent.
The PDP describes the Diri-led APC administration as a complete failure. Critical questions about public spending, healthcare, education, infrastructure and the management of state assets require clear, verifiable answers. These are matters of public interest, not private quarrels. The APC Chairman and the government ran by his Party should respond with facts and figures, not insults directed at the messenger. Bayelsans deserve transparency, accountability and responsible leadership.
The Party further states that Governor Douye Diri and the Bayelsa State APC Chairman are not supporting the 2027 re-election ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. On the contrary, Governor Diri is engaged in anti-party activities that work against the interests of the President and the APC. He is paying monthly stipends to thousands of former PDP officials, from ward to state levels, belonging to the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki group. It is common knowledge that these individuals led by Turaki are openly allied with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and are mobilising support for the presidential ambition of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
How can a State APC Chairman who has never issued a single statement, made public address or commentary in support of President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, except perhaps only during the PBAT Door 2 Door organised South South Zonal Rally in Yenagoa, claim that the Party he chairs and the Governor who leads the Party in the State are supporting Mr. President in body, soul and spirit? The Bayelsa State Rainbow Coalition, led by the State PDP Chairman, challenges Hon. Warman Ogoriba to produce any video clip or published statement in a reputable newspaper in which he is clearly seen or heard publicly canvassing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
The PDP calls on the people of Bayelsa State to carefully examine the performance, records and capacity of every candidate seeking their votes in 2027. They should be prepared to reject incompetent APC candidates in the National and State House of Assembly elections.
The questions raised by George Turnah remain unanswered. Attacking the messenger will not make them disappear.
