Rabiu Describes Entry into Holy Kaaba Alongside Tinubu as ‘Honour Beyond Measure’

BUA Group chairman says the rare spiritual experience will remain etched in his heart, offers prayers for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.

Billionaire industrialist and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has described his entry into the Holy Kaaba in Makkah alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an “honour beyond measure” and a once-in-a-lifetime blessing.

Rabiu disclosed this in a Facebook post on Sunday night, expressing gratitude for the rare opportunity to enter Islam’s holiest site alongside the Nigerian President.

According to him, the experience was deeply spiritual and would remain permanently engraved in his heart. He said his prayers at the sacred site were not only for himself and his family but also for Nigeria.

Rabiu prayed for Almighty Allah to bless the country with lasting peace, unity and prosperity.

The BUA chairman was among the delegation that accompanied President Tinubu to Makkah for the Umrah pilgrimage, which took place on Friday.

Other members of the delegation included Oando Group Chief Executive Officer, Wale Tinubu, state governors and other senior government officials.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu performed the Umrah rites at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, where he circumambulated the Holy Kaaba and offered prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and economic prosperity.

At a dinner organised for members of the delegation in Makkah on Saturday, Rabiu reaffirmed the business community’s support for the administration and thanked the President for the opportunity to participate in the rare spiritual experience.

The entry into the Holy Kaaba is an uncommon privilege, granted to selected dignitaries and special guests with permission from the Saudi authorities.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria later this week.
