Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola has taken to social media to announce that she has stepped away from acting to pursue ministerial work.
TheNewsGuru reports that Jumoke made the announcement while addressing fans’ concerns about her disappearance from the screen, revealing that she is now a minister of God.
While asking the public for prayers, Jumoke Odetola said God had compelled her to work for Him.
She said, “I’m now a minister of God. I am entering a new season with God. I need all the prayers in this season.
“When God compels you, you may delay, but you cannot escape the call.”
In a follow-up post, Odetola addressed the wave of concerned messages from friends, family and colleagues who had noticed a shift in her recent content. “I truly appreciate the numerous calls, messages & concerns,” she said. “Thank you so much. I feel seen, cared for and loved. Yes, something is going on in my life… but nothing is wrong with me. I am entering a new season with God. I am now a minister of God.”
Odetola appealed for prayers as she steps into this new chapter of ministry, describing it as a season she cannot escape because of God’s compelling call.
