A grieving father has taken to social media to mourn the sudden death of his son, who reportedly died just a day after returning to school for a new term.

The father, identified as Akaniniyene Okon, expressed deep sadness over the unexpected loss, revealing that his son had attended the reopening of his school on Monday before passing away the following day.
According to the grieving father, the boy had recently been celebrated by his school for his outstanding performance during its cultural week.
In a heartbreaking Facebook post, Okon described the loss as painful and difficult to understand, particularly because his son showed no apparent sign that anything was wrong before his sudden death.
Sharing a tribute to his late son, he wrote:
“Rest in peace son.
Your school celebrated your outstanding performance recently during the cultural week. You attended reopening of your school on Monday, on Tuesday you passed on without any sign.
I’m deeply grieved by your lonely and untimely journey.
Farewell Ufanabasi Akaninyene Oton.”
