Why I sent Rochas Okorocha out during my late father’s funeral – Charly Boy

Veteran entertainer Charly Boy has revisited his widely discussed 2014 confrontation with the former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, defending his actions during the incident.

Speaking during an interview, Charly Boy recalled taking the microphone from the former governor while he was speaking at his father’s burial ceremony.

According to him, he believed the event was being used for political campaigning, which he strongly opposed.

“Mmhmm. Is that a cr!me? I for don sl@p am. He wanted to use my father’s burial as a campaign for politics. And you don’t do that. Not when I’m around,” he said.

The entertainer further stated that he asked the former governor to leave the venue, adding that the politician was aware he was in “his territory” despite being accompanied by security personnel.

Interviewer:In 2014, there was something that happened with the former governor of Imo state. He was speaking and you collected the Mic from him.

Charly Boy: “Mmhmm. Is that a cr!me? I for don sl@p am. He wanted to use my father’s burial as a campaign for politics. And you don’t do that. Not when I’m around. You don’t do that kind of bull$h!t so I had to send him out.

And he knew he was in my territory. Even with all his bodyguards, na my territory him dey…”
