Radda’s aide receives ‘Sarkin Hausawan Sudan’ title

The Senior Special Assistant on Religious Affairs to Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Isma’il Abdullahi Ibrahim Matazu, has been conferred with the traditional title of Sarkin Hausawan Sudan by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk.

The appointment was formally communicated in a letter signed by the Emir, who noted that the honour recognises Matazu’s significant contributions to the development, unity, and welfare of the Hausa community in Sudan.

“He has demonstrated remarkable dedication to community service, cultural preservation, and the promotion of peaceful coexistence among Hausa people in Sudan,” the Emir’s statement read.

The Emir also commended Matazu’s commitment to humanitarian causes and his support for both Islamic and modern education, adding: “He stands as a worthy ambassador of Hausa heritage and values beyond the borders of Nigeria.”

The conferment is expected to strengthen ties between the Daura Emirate and Hausa communities in Sudan, while reinforcing cultural identity, unity, and mutual understanding.
