Political Leaders Meet Behind Closed Doors in Ibadan

Seyi Makinde

Seyi Makinde is currently holding a closed-door meeting with members of the Interim National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party at the Governor’s Office in Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.

The meeting is being attended by the PDP Interim National Working Committee Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Adolphus Wabara, and Interim Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, among other party leaders.

Sources said the delegation arrived in Oyo State around 11am and proceeded directly to the Governor’s Office, where the meeting is ongoing behind closed doors.

According to a source, the PDP leaders are in the state to pay a condolence visit to Governor Makinde following the recent kidnapping and killing of teachers and pupils in the state.

Another source, however, suggested that beyond the condolence visit, the meeting may also involve discussions on party affairs and political strategies ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
