A Miami OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney accused of fatally stabbing her partner in their Edgewater condo four years ago is headed to prison after accepting a plea agreement on Monday.
Courtney Clenney had been charged with second-degree murder in the April 2022 killing of her 27-year-old partner, Christian Obumseli.
However, under the terms of the settlement reached in court on Monday, Clenney pled guilty to manslaughter.
She was sentenced to six years in jail with credit for time served, followed by five years on probation, and must undergo a mental health evaluation and therapy.
She faced up to 30 years in jail if convicted of second-degree murder.
Clenney, 30, has been held without bond since her arrest in 2022, and she will serve nearly two years in prison.
Clenney, dressed in an orange jail uniform, appeared composed when accepting the plea but burst into tears as Obumseli’s mother spoke.
“Nothing can describe what it feels like for a mother to stand at the grave of her child,” she added. “There are some things that will never happen to me now that he is gone. The birthdays and holidays we will not celebrate with him, the conversations we will never have, the person he will grow into- those losses will go well beyond today’s court case.

Clenney’s attorneys were scheduled to hold a press conference following the hearing.
Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle stated that the plea agreement was reached “in full consultation and approval of Christian’s family.”
“With this plea agreement, Christian Obumseli’s family received the long-awaited news that Courtney Clenney accepted full responsibility for his death. This plea was made with the full consultation and approval of Christian’s family,” the statement added. The Assistant State Attorneys in this case have remained focused on the fundamental evidence that Clenney stabbed Christian Obumseli as part of a pattern of increasing aggression against him. While nothing can repair the scars from that day in April, I hope today’s guilty plea provides his family with justice that has been denied for far too long.”
The Case Against Clenney
The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office depicted Obumseli as a victim of domestic abuse, claiming the couple had a volatile and hostile relationship.
Clenney’s counsel said she was the victim of an abusive relationship and stabbed Obumseli in self-defense.
“I grabbed a knife and said, ‘Don’t come anywhere near me.’” “I have absolutely no intention of using it,” Clenney told the detectives.
Prosecutors claimed she murdered him, citing evidence of her previous hostility toward Obumseli, including footage obtained by NBC6 in 2022 and 2024.
Clenney has been held in jail without bond for several years. The judicial battle finally extended beyond the murder charge.
Prosecutors accused Clenney and her parents of breaking into Obumseli’s laptop, resulting in computer charges.
However, the case took a turn when a court determined that prosecutors had inappropriately acquired material protected by the attorney-client privilege.
The computer-related allegations against Clenney and her parents have been withdrawn.
The defense later sought a judge to remove the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office from the murder case, claiming Clenney would not receive a fair trial.
Clenney, who went by the name Courtney Tailor on social media, had over 2 million Instagram followers at the time of her arrest.
Her attorneys will hold a news conference at 1 p.m. following Clenney’s plea bargain.
