A mummified body has reportedly been discovered buried beneath a church linked to Nigerian prophet Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu in Cameroon.

According to the Cameroon Tribune, the discovery was made on September 19, 2026, at the Mercy of God Ministry church in Nkoabang, located in the Nkol-Afamba district of Yaoundé.
Investigators reportedly broke through a concrete slab inside the church and discovered a coffin buried about 1.5 metres underground.

Inside the coffin was a body in an advanced state of mummification. The remains were reported to appear to belong to a woman who was dressed in traditional clothing.
Authorities have not officially identified the deceased, while the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear.
The report also stated that Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu was not found following the discovery and is wanted by authorities as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the buried body.
