KOGI GOVERNMENT BOOSTS SECURITY WITH PURCHASE OF 50 ARMOURED VEHICLES

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo made the announcement while inspecting the first batch of five vehicles that have already been delivered to the state.

He explained that the investment is designed to enhance the operational strength of security agencies and ensure better protection for personnel during patrols and other field operations, especially in areas experiencing criminal activity.

According to him, the armoured vehicles will be distributed to relevant security formations operating in Kogi State to support routine patrols and improve rapid response to security threats.

The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing lives and property, stressing that the initiative forms part of broader efforts to create a safer environment for residents, businesses and communities across the state.

He noted that the procurement marks a major step in strengthening the state’s security framework and rebuilding public confidence in ongoing efforts to combat crime and insecurity.
