A UK-based Nigerian man has reportedly left his wife heartbroken after allegedly taking her £20,000 ajo savings meant for a house project and marrying another woman in Nigeria.
The story, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @boye4christ2006, has sparked reactions from social media users, with many expressing shock over the alleged incident.
How the Situation Reportedly Started
According to claims making the rounds, the couple had been living in the United Kingdom, where they shared financial responsibilities.
The wife was reportedly handling food expenses, while the husband contributed to other household bills.
Over time, the husband allegedly suggested they contribute equally and later introduced an ajo savings plan to help complete a house project in Nigeria.
Trusting the arrangement, the wife reportedly agreed and contributed consistently to the savings.
£20k Ajo Allegedly Collected
In March 2026, the wife was said to have handed over more than £20,000 accumulated from the ajo contributions.
Shortly after receiving the money, the man reportedly travelled to Nigeria.
Instead of returning to the UK as expected, he allegedly used the funds to complete the house project and married another wife.
