“I got small tattoo on my breast…” — Woman laments as husband chased her out of his house

A Nigerian woman has shared a distressing account of how a minor personal decision allegedly led to her being forced out of her matrimonial home, sparking conversations online about communication and boundaries in marriage.

The story, which surfaced through a message shared by another lady on social media, details how the woman’s husband reportedly reacted angrily after discovering she had a small tattoo on her breast.

Husband’s Reaction Sparks Concern

According to the message, the woman said the issue began late at night when her husband noticed the tattoo for the first time.

“I got a small tattoo on my breast, which I did myself. My husband only noticed it later that night, around 10:30pm, when we were about to sleep,” she said.

She explained that her husband became furious and allegedly asked her to leave the house immediately, despite attempts by neighbours and their landlord to calm the situation.

He became very angry and sent me out of the house over that small tattoo. Even when our neighbours and landlord tried to beg him, he refused to listen,” she added.

Night Spent at Church Vigil

The woman further claimed she was pushed out of the house close to 11pm, leaving her stranded with nowhere to go.

He pushed me out and forced me to leave the house close to 11pm. I had nowhere to go, so I ended up spending the night at a church vigil on our street,” she recounted.

Her experience has drawn sympathy online, with many expressing concern over her safety and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Attempts to Resolve the Situation

In a bid to address the issue, the woman said she contacted a tattoo artist about removing the mark. However, she was reportedly advised to wait.

“I later contacted the tattoo artist about removing it, but he said it’s risky to do so now because it’s still fresh. He advised me to wait for about two months before removal,” she explained.

When she relayed this to her husband, she claimed he insisted she stay away from the house until the tattoo is removed.

When I explained this to my husband, he told me to go and stay at my parents’ house for those two months,” she said.

Family Intervention Fails

Efforts by her family to intervene have so far been unsuccessful, according to the message.

My parents have tried calling him to settle things, but he has refused to pick their calls. Right now, I honestly don’t know what to do anymore,” she lamented.
