A Nigerian lady has shared a shocking experience after meeting a man who allegedly misrepresented himself during their early stages of dating.
According to her, everything seemed to be going well between them until she discovered that the man was already married, a revelation that changed her perception instantly.
In her words, she said:
“So there’s this guy I met, we exchanged contacts and started talking. We went on dates, it was going well. I told him about my business and he said he was going to support me.
Later, I found out that he was married. I confronted him, and he denied it. That was already a turn-off for me.”
She explained that despite her doubts, she agreed to meet him again after he invited her out, only to realise that the supposed outing had taken a different direction.
Instead of a restaurant, she said she was taken to a hotel, where the man allegedly made advances towards her and repeated promises of financial support.
“He told me we were going to a restaurant, but when we got there, it was a hotel. I asked him what we were doing there, and he said he didn’t feel like going out again.
I asked him, ‘What are we doing here if you haven’t done the things you promised me?’ He sent me ₦7 million for my business. After that, I told him I wanted to get something downstairs, and that was how I left the hotel and blocked him.”
Her story has sparked mixed reactions online, with many debating trust, intentions, and the blurred lines between relationships and financial expectations.
